The English Manor; A wedding photographer's review

From a wedding photographer’s perspective The English Manor is an excellent wedding venue for every reason worth mentioning. Before I get into the details of the photography-aspect portion of my review I want to say that the staff consists of the friendliest, welcoming people who genuinely care about their guests’ experience.

For the purpose of photos The English Manor offers an abundant number of beautiful locations right on site. The front entrance and adjacent club house are gorgeous and both are a favorite of mine on all wedding days –whether it be for portraits, the first look, or the bridal party. Something worth mentioning is that they are easy to access and are great to utilize during rainier seasons. This is an important detail because a muddy wedding dress should not be the tradeoff getting pictures outside on your wedding day (and a detail not all wedding venues can offer). Further, the field neighboring the club house location is nice and spacious, and offers beautiful shade with a fantastic opportunity to capture photos with a nature oriented theme. On the subject of nature the grounds behind The English Manor are equally as inviting with many unique photographic opportunities as well. Outside wedding ceremonies at the venue are always lovely with gorgeous lighting making for consistently beautiful photos.

Beyond the grounds of The English Manor itself however are plenty of photographic locations that will cater to any style of bride and groom. Beachy people have Asbury Park & the surrounding shore towns at their fingertips (less than 10mins away). Clients looking for a more rustic/woodsy look don’t have far to travel either with Allaire State Park only 20 minutes away! Given the multitude of religious establishments in the surrounding area couples can enjoy a formal ceremony in their place of worship off-site of the venue but still conveniently close by.

To conclude the photography portion of my review of course I have to mention the reception location. The English Manor seems to have taken photography into consideration when designing their reception space because it is gorgeous and always makes for effortlessly GREAT photos! Everything from entrances, first dances, speeches, partying etc… can be captured with ease.

Last but not least, the food is always delicious! Cocktail hour is superb and main entrée options never disappoint. Any photo/video vendor working a wedding at The English Manor can look forward to a great meal after a long day of wedding work. I applaud the venue for serving the vendors early on during the course of dinner as well! It is a detail always worth mentioning but when photo/video vendors are served early on it shows the venue cares about their bride and groom. This is because the sooner we eat the sooner we can prepare to capture the photo-worthy moments immediately after dinner concludes –(versus the alternative of photographing guests eat while we wait for our own food, only to be served in time for the post dinner dance set to begin).
